Mr. Doan is a registered patent attorney with a practice that focuses on preparing and prosecuting domestic and foreign patent applications for a variety of clients that include medium and large corporations, startups, and sole proprietors. He has prepared and prosecuted patent applications in many technologies including artificial intelligence/machine learning, cloud computing systems, data analytics, enterprise software, mobile devices and applications, image processing, video processing and coding, graphical user interfaces, data security, networking software and devices, virtualization, e-book editing and authoring software, database systems, cellular telecommunication systems, and hard drives.

Prior to joining Fountainhead Law Group, Mr. Doan practiced at boutique intellectual property law firms in Silicon Valley and Los Angeles. Prior to becoming a patent attorney, he was a software engineer at Unisys Corporation where he developed code for mainframe emulation software. Mr. Doan holds a B.S. in Computer Science & Electrical Engineering (CS & E) from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) and a JD from Santa Clara University School of Law where he served as technical editor of the Law Review.
